The Mission
Create a spooky Halloween microsite that allows customers a chance to win a free bottle of PepsiCo product at participating stores.
The Concept
I was tasked with creating something truly scary. Visually I was inspired by jump scare gifs from the early 2000s and the rawness of low quality security cameras.
Over the ideation process, we decided to feature the Mountain Dew’s Halloween mascot, VooDEW, to carry out the unexpected scare.
Once you agree to enter, you’re left staring at security footage pointed into a dark creepy room.
Tension builds before you’re shown one of two results:
Either a trick (a surprising jump scare)…
… or a treat!
If luck is on your side, you’re treated to a free Pepsico bottled drink.
